Mediocre is better in pseudo-individuality.

in the individual’s apparent freedom he was the product of society’s economic and social apparatus. (Horkheimer, Adorno, and Noeri 2002, 125)

In our aspirations to build a better and life and that of progress, we have understood one thing as a human species of the WEIRD countries (Western Educated Industrialised Rich Developed)

We need to be able to do everything poorly in our private sphere, which also exists in a public sphere professionally.

The home theatre is a stunning example of something that can exist in our homes that is a facsimile of the real movie theatre. We know that it is not the same, nor that it can reach the level of the movie theatre. But the comfort of finding it in our own and ease of use, surpasses the need to go to an actual theatre.

We can also find that we can have a home theatre for a variety of budgets. The luxury options can range into the tens of thousands of euros.

The other thing we have taken into our own home is specialty coffee. Not just a simple cup of instant, or filter coffee but now we can purchase espresso machines so we can make an uninformed mediocre cup of coffee with awfull beans, out of the comfort of our home, as a unique individual, with unique needs and unique solutions.
